READ ENC is an Eastern North Carolina effort linking families, educators, and community partners to focus on kindergarten readiness, summer learning, and school attendance.
We will know we are successful when we have significantly increased the number of children who enter kindergarten “ready for school learning”, who experience learning-filled summers, who attend school regularly and, ultimately, who are reading at or above grade level by the end of third grade.
