OUR PILLARS
The United Way of Pitt County have two main pillars which stand as the basis to our work:
EDUCATION
Help individuals achieve their full potential through access to education, skill development, and opportunities for lifelong learning.
ESSENTIALS
Help individuals and families achieve stability through access to food, housing, utilities., hygiene products, and emergency assistance.
These pillars are evident in all United Way facets by prioritizing the opportunity for stability and growth for Pitt County residents. Together, we’ve supported opportunities for positive change in Pitt County. More of our individuals are graduating prepared for success at college or on the job, more local families are financially stable, and more neighbors can access the essentials to live better lives.

OUR IMPACT
The United Way's impact is quantified in the noticeable progress and change brought about in the community through efforts sparked by both our team and local partners and agencies. We work alongside community leaders to measure how we can greatest positively impact areas of need in the county. Our Community Impact cabinet is comprised of these leaders, volunteering their time to coordinate the most holistic plan for community grant fund allocations.
