New Interactive Born Learning Trail Opens

The Born Learning Trail was created by United Way Worldwide to promote physical activity and early learning opportunities for young children. These trails were developed by early childhood experts and consist of ten interactive outdoor play stations that encourage parents, caregivers and their children to get active, have fun and bond.

The Born Learning Trail at River Park North, sponsored by Grady-White Boats, will include a wildlife garden, music wall, stump jump and activities such as fort making and fossil digging. United Way of Pitt County has multiple Born Learning Trails in various stages of installation located throughout Pitt County.

Born Learning Trails support early learning for children by using every day opportunities as teachable moments that turn any outdoor environment into fun physical activities.

You can find Born Learning Trails at Elm Street Park, Third Street Community Center, The Dream Park.  Born Learning Trails are coming soon to: the Greenway, Uptown Greenville, H. Boyd Lee Park, Evans Park and Paramore Park.
