Early Literacy Coalition

In the Spring of 2016, United Way plans to staff a community-wide coalition to promote early literacy.  One cornerstone of the effort will be to provide Imagination Library, which mails books to the homes of children from brith-five years of age.

"Our big push is early childhood development and Born Learning efforts," say Jim Cieslar, United Way Executive Director, "In our new approach, we're focusing more and more on prevention and trying to improve the lives of everyone in the community, not just those involved in programs we help fund. that's howyou affect community change."
